Maintenance

A cooler that is flushed and cleaned on schedule holds its rated airflow. One that is not slowly loses it.

Care Schedule

Maintenance Services for Industrial Air Cooling Systems

Everything else follows from these. Under an annual maintenance contract our team runs them for you on a fixed visit plan.

1

Every week

Drain the reservoir and refill it with fresh water.

Stops mineral deposits settling on the cooling media.

2

Every two months

Clean the honeycomb cooling pads thoroughly.

Sooner if your water is mineral rich and deposits keep returning.

3

End of season

Drain the tank, clean every part and let it dry fully before storage.

Exhaust fans get a deep clean at least once a year.

Step by Step

The Two Jobs You Will Actually Do

Cleaning the honeycomb pads

Every two months, or sooner with hard water

  1. Switch the unit off and unplug it from the supply.
  2. Turn the unit so you can reach the rear panel.
  3. Remove the screws and lift the rear grill upward.
  4. Rinse the honeycomb media with fresh water until it runs clear.
  5. Refit the grill and screws, then reconnect the power.

Flushing the water tank

Weekly, and before restarting after a long idle spell

  1. Switch off and disconnect the power.
  2. Open the drain plug at the bottom of the tank and let it empty completely.
  3. Refill to maximum capacity and leave it to stand for five minutes.
  4. Drain again using pure water to carry out the dust and sediment.
  5. If the unit has been idle a long time, run the whole cycle twice before use.

Always isolate the power before opening any panel. If a fault needs the motor, blower or wiring opened up, call the service line rather than doing it on site - unauthorised repairs void the warranty.
