Air Coolers

4 questions

An air cooler uses water evaporation to reduce air temperature. Warm air passes through water-soaked cooling pads, and the evaporation cools that air before it is blown into the space.

Yes. Proper ventilation is essential for an air cooler to work efficiently, because it needs a continuous supply of fresh air. This is why they suit sheds where doors and shutters stay open, and sealed air conditioning does not.

Clean the water tank, cooling pads and filters every two weeks during regular use, to prevent mould and odour. The full schedule is on our maintenance page.

Evaporative coolers work best in dry climates - in humid areas the cooling effect reduces because there is already moisture in the air. Sky Air Cooler units are built to still deliver useful cooling in humid conditions.

Exhaust Fans

4 questions

An exhaust fan removes stale air, odours, smoke and moisture, which keeps the indoor environment healthier to work in.

In areas that build up moisture or fumes - kitchens, washrooms and laundries, or workshops where fumes and odours need clearing.

Work out the room volume (length × width × height) and multiply it by the air changes per hour you need. Our engineer will confirm the size for your space, or try the cooling calculator for an indicative figure.

Clean the blades and grille every three to six months to maintain efficiency and stop dust building up.

Running Both Together

3 questions

Together they raise both airflow and cooling efficiency. The cooler supplies fresh, cooled air while the exhaust fan pulls out the hot, stale air, which keeps the space comfortable and properly ventilated.

In large industrial spaces - factories, warehouses and workshops - where consistent air circulation and temperature control matter.

Install the coolers near open windows or doors so they draw in fresh air, and place the exhaust fans on the opposite side to push the hot air out. That cross-ventilation setup gives the best airflow and cooling performance.
